Prepared by: Garth B. Thompson, Founder, President & Director, GCPTALKS, Inc. – A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization Brooklyn, New York | Relocating to Poughkeepsie, NY & Texas GCPTALKS.org
Organizational Overview
GCPTALKS.org is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in Brooklyn, New York, and now expanding to Poughkeepsie, New York, and Texas to serve communities across the United States. Under the leadership of Founder and President Garth B. Thompson, GCPTALKS has grown into a movement dedicated to uplifting humanity through arts, culture, education, community development, and crisis support.
The organization’s mission is rooted in compassion, empowerment, and generational impact. GCPTALKS exists to fill the gaps where society has left communities behind—providing access, awareness, and opportunities for those who need them most.
Vision and Purpose
GCPTALKS envisions a nation where underserved communities have the tools, resources, and support systems necessary to thrive. Our programs focus on:
Homelessness relief and transitional support
Food pantry operations and hunger prevention
Childhood and adult education
Youth development and mentorship
Childhood and adult cancer awareness and support
Single‑parent support services
Elderly care and community engagement
Scientific and medical research awareness
Community workshops, arts programs, and media literacy
Disaster relief and humanitarian outreach
With over 50 initiatives designed to uplift humanity, GCPTALKS is building a national network of programs that address the urgent needs of families, youth, seniors, and vulnerable populations.
The Need for a GCPTALKS Facility
To fully realize its mission, GCPTALKS seeks funding to establish a multipurpose community facility that will serve as the organization’s national headquarters and program hub. This facility will:
House volunteers, staff, and program coordinators
Operate community workshops and educational programs
Provide space for youth mentorship, arts, and cultural development
Host awareness sessions on health, science, and community issues
Serve as a safe space for single mothers, fathers, and families in crisis
Support food pantry distribution and emergency relief
Offer training, job readiness, and adult education
Provide media and communication resources for community storytelling
This facility is essential to expanding GCPTALKS’ reach across New York, Texas, and the nation. It will become a home for community empowerment, a center for healing, and a platform for voices that are too often unheard.
Grant Purpose
GCPTALKS is seeking grant funding to:
Acquire and develop the GCPTALKS Community Facility
Support staffing, volunteer housing, and operational infrastructure
Launch and expand community programs serving youth, elderly, families, and underserved populations
Strengthen national outreach and awareness initiatives
Build sustainable systems that ensure long‑term community impact
This investment will allow GCPTALKS to create a stable foundation for its programs, expand its national presence, and serve thousands of individuals across America.
Impact and Community Benefit
The GCPTALKS facility will directly benefit:
Youth seeking mentorship, education, and safe spaces
Elderly individuals needing community support
Babies and children in vulnerable households
Single mothers and fathers seeking stability
Homeless individuals needing pathways to independence
Cancer patients and families seeking awareness and support
Communities lacking access to food, education, and resources
Volunteers and staff dedicated to serving humanity
By funding this project, donors will help GCPTALKS build a legacy of service that strengthens communities, uplifts families, and creates generational change.
Conclusion
GCPTALKS is not just a nonprofit—it is a movement for humanity. With the support of grantmakers, foundations, and philanthropic partners, GCPTALKS will continue to expand its mission across the United States and globally.
