The songwriter and Singer out of Africa
Biography
John Darko Yeboah, is my name, born on the fourth day of the month November 1983, to the yeboah family of kwahu tafo, the eastern region of the country of Ghana, West Africa. Father late Alex Berko Yeboah, and Mother Josephin Boahemaa Yeboah. Siblings: Michael, Pat, Kingsley, Philip, Phyllis, Anthony, Gabriel and Esther, all Yeboah. Born as the fifth of nine kids and a male, my passions were music, craft, animal rearing, farming, and business.
Attended Kwahu Tafo Roman Catholic Nursery to Junior High School, graduated to be enrolled in Kwahu Tafo Presbyterian Senior High for a year and transferred to Konongo Odumase Senior High, and after graduation, had to resit again with the remedial class of St Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Senior High, to get to Catholic University Ghana, graduated 2006,did my service a year, and started my musical career and arts 2008.
Equipped with a Bsc. Economics and Business Administration, I work and support the building of my career with the profession. Arts and music became the longterm goal, production and sales of my hair cream and oils became the medium term, and the dreadlocks' treatment became the short-term day-to-day income earner for the dream of establishing myself. Knowing the economic hardship as a young vybrant dreadlocks youth with family, friends, society and the establishments, I decided to create a venture that could be a future industry that promotes arts and craft, love for Africa, nature and its musical too. So, I had to start with self by self to invite others, then the philosophy became "let's stay behind to lead the blind"... Then we two other friends Empress Nuapa and kalabash, we created Jah Family Production, that was for short educative video production, choreography and filming, art draws, paintings and sculpture, metal, wood and crafts at kokrobite beach village, Accra. Stayed and worked at the Academy if African Music and Arts, AAMA, kokrobite until 2020. And relocated to Tantra Hills Rasta Park, where we have the Home of African Arts & Crazivity, since 2022.
Music of African origin has been my path professionally since 2008, been influenced by western music from childhood, I'm as well a fun and lover of hip-pop, RNB, blues, country music, and Greek songs. Music to me its any good symphony my being can resonate to.... I help train the youth, who have interest to learn some art and skills for their own self development, we train and manage young talents, build dreams and make meaningful contributions with our crafts and arts. I'm musically known as Mutafari, from the duo Rudy Goody, and I am in my late 30s, fifth born of a big family of 9 siblings and have over a hundred recorded songs to my credit, though still upcoming... And the vision is to musically record an album about my yearly happening around me and the world and musically inform the future generations to come what was happening when we lived.
