GCPTALKS Community Headquarters Liaison Assistance Program

The GCPTALKS Community Headquarters Liaison Assistance Program is a strategic initiative established by the Founder and President of GCPTALKS, Inc. Its purpose is to strengthen community development by connecting the work of the GCPTALKS headquarters directly to the neighborhoods we serve. Through the leadership of the GCPTALKS Outreach Director, this program ensures that our headquarters becomes a hub of support, resources, and opportunity for the community.

Why a Headquarters in Poughkeepsie Matters

GCPTALKS is seeking a permanent facility in Poughkeepsie, New York, to expand our nonprofit operations and provide the community with direct access to the following:

  • Educational development

  • Job‑training opportunities

  • Food pantry services

  • Community outreach programs

  • Skill‑building workshops

  • Youth and family support initiatives

A headquarters in Poughkeepsie will allow GCPTALKS to operate at full capacity, offering hands‑on assistance and structured programs that uplift individuals and families.

To achieve this, we are calling on companies, partners, and supporters to help us secure and maintain this facility—an investment that will directly benefit the community.

Role of the GCPTALKS Outreach Director

The outreach director will lead the community‑facing operations of the headquarters, including

  • Managing food pantry programs

  • Coordinating community outreach events

  • Overseeing training and development workshops

  • Building partnerships with local businesses, schools, and organizations

  • Ensuring that community members have access to GCPTALKS resources

This leadership role ensures that the headquarters is not just a building—it is a center of action, service, and opportunity.

Job Skills & Workforce Development

A key component of the headquarters will be the creation of a Quality Workforce (QW) area, designed to

  • Provide job‑skills training

  • Offer resume and career‑readiness support

  • Host workshops that prepare individuals for employment

  • Strengthen the local workforce through practical, hands‑on learning

This space will help community members build confidence, gain new skills, and pursue meaningful employment opportunities.
