At GCPTALKS, Inc., protecting our mission, our community, and our digital environment is a top priority. The GCPTALKS 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Protection Act outlines the standards, safeguards, and expectations that guide how we operate as a federally recognized nonprofit organization.

This policy ensures that our programs, digital assets, donor information, and fundraising systems remain secure, ethical, and aligned with the highest standards of public trust.


Purpose of This Policy

The GCPTALKS Nonprofit Protection Act was created to:

• Safeguard the integrity of GCPTALKS operations

• Protect our digital platforms, content, and intellectual property

• Ensure compliance with federal 501(c)(3) regulations

• Establish clear expectations for ethical conduct

• Prevent unauthorized access, tampering, or malicious activity

• Strengthen accountability among staff, volunteers, vendors, and partners


Our Standards of Conduct

Everyone who works with or represents GCPTALKS—staff, volunteers, contractors, and partners—is expected to uphold the following:

• Honesty and transparency

• Professional communication

• Respect for our mission and community

• Responsible use of organizational resources

Prohibited actions include:

• Unauthorized access to GCPTALKS systems

• Deleting or altering website content or store items

• Mishandling donor or program data

• Misrepresenting services or credentials

• Interfering with fundraising operations

• Harassment, intimidation, or retaliation


Digital Security & Asset Protection

GCPTALKS maintains strict security protocols to protect our digital environment.

Access Control

Administrative access to our website, donor systems, and internal platforms is limited to authorized personnel only. Access is monitored and removed immediately when duties end.

Protection of Digital Content

All website content, merchandise listings, media, and intellectual property belong to GCPTALKS, Inc.

Unauthorized edits, deletions, or tampering are strictly prohibited.

Reporting Suspicious Activity

We take digital safety seriously. Any suspicious activity—such as removed items, unauthorized edits, or unexpected login attempts—must be reported immediately to GCPTALKS leadership.


Vendor & Contractor Accountability

GCPTALKS works with vendors and contractors who share our commitment to professionalism and integrity.

All vendors must:

• Complete assigned tasks fully and accurately

• Follow GCPTALKS security protocols

• Communicate clearly and professionally

• Avoid unauthorized delegation of work

If a vendor fails to meet expectations, GCPTALKS may withhold payment, terminate the contract, file a formal complaint, or pursue further action.


Protection of Staff, Volunteers & Leadership

GCPTALKS maintains a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for everyone involved in our mission.

We enforce a zero‑tolerance policy for:

• Harassment

• Retaliation

• Bullying

• Attempts to undermine leadership or staff

Confidential information—including donor data and internal communications—must always be protected.


Fundraising & Program Integrity

Our fundraising tools and program assets are essential to our mission.

GCPTALKS protects:

• Donation pages

• Merchandise listings

• Campaign materials

• Program content

Unauthorized removal or alteration of fundraising materials is prohibited.

All financial activities follow IRS 501(c)(3) regulations and ethical fundraising standards.


Investigations & Enforcement

GCPTALKS leadership may initiate an investigation into any suspected violation of this policy.

Consequences for violations may include:

• Revoked access

• Contract termination

• Internal review

• Marketplace reporting

• Legal action

All incidents are documented for compliance and organizational protection.


Policy Governance

• This policy may be amended by the GCPTALKS Board of Directors.

• The policy is effective immediately upon adoption.

• All individuals associated with GCPTALKS are bound by this policy.
